FRANKLIN, Mass. – The 2019 schedule for the defending New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men's cross country team has been announced by second-year head coach Joe Cabral.
The Bulldogs will open their season at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational hosted by Fitchburg State University on Saturday, September 7. Taking place at the Doyle Conservation Center in Leominster, Massachusetts, it makes the program's first-ever entry into the Central Massachusetts event.
Familiar events dot the schedule as the season goes along, including the Mitchell College Invitational in New London, Connecticut on September 14 and the Elms College Blazer Classic on Saturday, September 21 in Chicopee, Massachusetts.
The Bulldogs will take part in their annual Friday race when they head to Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts for the Lt. Travis J. Fuller Invitational hosted by Massachusetts Maritime Academy on September 27.
Following a week off, Dean takes part in three events in the final three weeks of October beginning with the James Earley Invitational at Stanley Park hosted by Westfield State on Saturday, October 12.
Another entry into a first-time event follows as the Bulldogs take on historic Franklin Park in Dorchester, Massachusetts as part of the Suffolk University Invitational on Saturday, October 19.
The season culminates at the NECC Championships on Saturday, October 26 back at Stanley Park – the site of the program's championship run a season ago.
