THE LEAD:
After a slow start, host Dean College exploded for three goals in a little more than ten minutes late in the first half and the Bulldogs topped Fisher, 3-1, in non-league men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Falcons actually got on the board first when a ball sent towards the box deflected through a Dean defender right to Kervens Surpris (Pompano Beach, Fla.) and he was able to slip a shot past Brendan Pacheco (Fall River, Mass.) less than ten minutes into the contest.

Dean answered back in a big way getting three straight goals before the half ended. The first came when Cristiano Martins (Brockton, Mass.) served a beautiful ball into the box where Felipe Campos (Barnstable, Mass.) rose above his defender and headed home his ninth marker of the season at 22:38 to even the score.

The Bulldogs moved in front when Tyler Medeiros (New Bedford, Mass.) sent a ball from the left side of the box by a defender and connected with Martins who was left alone on the backside for an easy tap in score a little more than three minutes later.

Dean was on the board again in the 35th minute when Campos had control of a ball in the box and it went to Medeiros who drilled his first career goal into the back of the net.

The best scoring chance for either team came in the 78th minute when Yuri Mascarenhas (Quincy, Mass.) served a corner kick into the box that found the foot of Danny Isaksen (Cambridge, England) but his attempt clanged off the crossbar.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
After the first goal, the Cardinal and White dominated the contest, finishing with a 20-2 advantage in shots and a 6-1 edge in corner kicks.

Three different players for Dean ended with a goal and an assist – Campos, Martins and Medeiros.
