THE LEAD:

(Cambridge, N.Y.) and Samantha Berardi (Longmeadow, Mass.) each scored unassisted goals for their respective teams and host Dean College and Eastern Nazarene played to a 1-1 tie in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Seacord put the Bulldogs on the board in the first half when she deposited her team-leading seventh strike of the season at 30:47.

With Macy Parisee (East Freetown, Mass.) playing at a high level, it looked as if the Bulldogs would get the victory. However, one the league's elite goal scorers, Berardi, was able to even the score at the 82:19 mark.

Parisee was outstanding in the extra sessions, turning aside nine shots in those 20 minutes, including all six in the second extra period.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
The Lions controlled possession for much of the second half and they finished with 32-6 edge in shots and a 13-1 advantage in corner kicks.

UP NEXT:
Dean returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to Lesley University for an 8:00 p.m. first touch. ENC is back in action on Wednesday as well, as they play host to New England College.
