Emmanuel College scored three goals in the game's first 17 minutes and the host Saints posted a 3-0 win over Dean College in non-league women's soccer action on Thursday evening.

Mikayla Guthrie was the catalyst for Emmanuel, scoring a pair of goals less than ten minutes apart to provide much of the offensive firepower for the Saints.

Dean fell behind early as Natalie Dash deposited an unassisted marker into the back of the net just 1:45 into the game.

The Bulldogs saw their deficit double when Emma Johnson setup Guthrie for her first of the evening with a little more than seven minutes gone by.

That advantage increased when Guthrie took a feed from Kayla Generis and scored again, making the game 3-0 in favor of the hosts.

Emmanuel tacked on another tally early on in the second stanza when Kaylin Deschenes recorded the first of the season in the 56th minute.

Berlin Rodriguez and McKenzie Leahy teamed up for the game's final score, Leahy's first of the season at 75:31.

The Saints controlled possession for most of the contest, holding a 26-0 edge in shots and a 6-2 advantage on corner kicks.

Macy Parisee (East Freetown, Mass.) made nine saves in the first half for Dean before giving way to Jennifer Jacovino (Monroe, Conn.), who stopped three shots in her 45 minutes of action.

Dean is off until Monday when they travel to Pine Manor for a meeting with the Gators at 4:00 p.m.
