HOW IT HAPPENED:
Goals by Madison Taylor and Brantley Collins came six minutes apart staked MMA to a 2-0 lead nearly 23 minutes into the contest. The Bulldogs sliced that margin in half in the 30th minute when Tatiana Santos (Cambridge, Mass.) scored her first collegiate goal on a feed from senior Emma Morrison (Northport, N.Y.).
That margin held up until the 69th minute when Taylor provided the game-sealing tally by converting a pass from freshman Bianca Mark (San Juan, P.R.) for her second of the night and third of the season.
Sara Coffey picked up the win in goal with a four-save effort for the Buccaneers, while Macy Parisee (East Freetown, Mass.) made 11 stops in the setback for Dean – her third straight start with 11 saves or more.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
The hosts outshot the Bulldogs by an 18-8 margin overall (14-5 on goal) and took four of the five corner kicks on the evening in the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday when they open up NECC play with a visit to Elms College at 1:00 p.m.
