THE LEAD:
Two goals and an assist from Southern Maine's Ally Little helped the Huskies to overpower the Bulldogs 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at Longley Field in Franklin, MA.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Little's first tally came at the 18:28 mark on an assist from Hana McNally.
  • Dean held the Huskies in check for the remainder of the first half.  Little struck again at the 51 minute mark, unassisted this time to push the USM lead to 2-0.
  • One minute later, Southern Maine tacked on another.  Emma Cost found the back of the net for the visitors, with an assist from Little.
  • Sarah Mclaughlin closed out the scoring with an unassisted marker at 61:25.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

  • Southern Maine outshot Dean 20-7 and had a 16-2 advantage in shots on goal.
