Women's Lacrosse Comes Up Short Against Daniel Webster

Franklin, Mass.- The Dean College Bulldogs fell to Daniel Webster 8-3 in the season finale on Thursday at Grant Field. 

Dean hung tight in the contest throughout, but the Eagles proved to be too much and pulled away with a 4-0 run to end the game.  Daniel Webster jumped out to an early 3-0 lead on goals from Amanda Hem, Madeline Roulier and Sydney Delforte.

Dean responded with three of the next four goals to cut the lead to 4-3 with 22 minutes remaining.  Nicole Desisto, Kim Dickson, and Makayla Fisher scored the goals for the Bulldogs.

Scoreless action ensued for the next 15 minutes with Dean registering many chances to tie the game, but the Eagles were the ones who eventually broke through.  After Roulier scored at the 7:25 mark, Delforte tacked on three more goals to ice the game and give Daniel Webster their decisive 8-3 lead.

Delforte finished with 4 goals while Roulier had 2 goals and 1 assist and Hem added two goals.  Diamond Majett made six saves in the win. 

Fisher, Dickson, and Desisto led Dean with goals, while Kirsten Jobst added an assist.  Jennifer Dorfman had 4 groundballs to lead the team.  Madison-Bailey Felton had 6 saves in the loss.

Daniel Webster improves to 2-6 on the seaosn while Dean finishes up the year without a victory.
