THE LEAD:
Dean College scored the game's first 12 goals and the visiting Bulldogs never looked back, racing to a 19-5 win over Becker College in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon.

Louis Piccolo (Foxboro, Mass.) scored six goals and Anthony Trasacco (Cheshire, Conn.) added four of his own, while Brody Fredericks (Weare, N.H.) handed out five assists to lead the Bulldog offense.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Dean wasted little time in getting on the board less than a minute into the contest courtesy of Trasacco with help from Zach D'Angelo (Chelmsford, Mass.).

Later, the Bulldogs took advantage of the man advantage with three goals – the last from Piccolo that started a personal stretch of three straight goals from the standout freshman. And when D'Angelo found the back of the net with help from Matt Dowd (West Haven, Conn.), Dean was in front 9-0 when the first quarter ended.

Piccolo continued his offensive attack, opening the second stanza with two of the first three goals, while the other Bulldog tally came from Fredericks, who registered a man-down marker.

After Tyler Forrest finally put the Hawks on the board midway through the second quarter, Trasacco and Piccolo answered back as Dean went in front 14-1 before settling for a 14-2 halftime edge.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Both Nate Burcroff (Lakeville, Mass.) and Joshua Harrison (Townsend, Mass.) tallied a pair of goals, while Dominic Echeverria (Stamford, Conn.) and D'Angelo each finished with a goal and an assist.

Alex Govoni (Lakeville, Mass.) and Andrew McKenna (North Palm Beach, Fla.) split time in between the pipes for the Bulldogs, combining for nine saves.

UP NEXT:
Dean is off until next Saturday when they host New England College at 2:30 PM.
