MILTON, Mass- The Dean College Bulldogs saw their 8 game winning streak come to an end on Monday, falling to Curry College 10-4 at Jack Vallely Diamond. The loss drops the Bulldogs back below .500 at 12-13 on the year.
Jon Lawlor got the start for Dean and pitched 5 and 1/3 innings, giving up 8 runs on 8 hits while walking 3 and striking out 3. He took the loss and is now 2-2 on the season.
A 4 run six inning was the difference maker for the Colonels. Leading 5-1 entering the bottom of the 6th, Alex McLean singled in John Cave, Vincent LoPriore singled in McLean and Jack Kallinich and Jared Kelleher singled to centerfield, scoring Matt Fogarty.
Dean responded with 3 runs in the top of the 7th on a Blazewjewski RBI double and a Retsyn Ootton 2 RBI single, but it was not enough.
Kyle Priest pitched 2.2 innings in relief giving up 5 hits and allowing 2 runs.
Matt Fogarty got the win for Curry, throwing 4 innings allowing 2 hits and 1 run and striking out 4. Matt Hailey picked up the save.
Dean next plays a home doubleheader on Wednesday against Eastern Nazarene.
